Important Dates and Class News
1st Quarter Project - The project is due next week on Oct. 3rd!!!! This project will be worth half of the science grade for the first quarter. It is very important that these are turned in on time. If anyone has not yet started on the project it should be started immediately!
Reading Logs - I am seeing fewer reading logs as the weeks go by. Be sure to keep on top of these. They are due every Monday and need to have five slots filled in for the week. I will be sending home a new reading log with a new format for the month of October. We are starting the Book-It program and those students that meet the goal for the month will receive a coupon for a free pizza.
Progress Reports - I am also seeing fewer progress reports. These reports are to let you know how your child has behaved in class as well as if they have turned in all of their homework. Keep an eye out for these each week. They need to be signed and turned in by the end of the week.
Report Card Day - The end of the quarter is fast approaching. All work must be turned in by Friday the 7th of October. I will be passing out the report cards on Wednesday the 12th.
10/3 - Projects Due!!!
10/5 - Duds for Dollars
10/6 - 40th Day!!!! It is very important that all kids are present on this day. This is a funding day and the amount of money we get for the school is based on the attendance of this day. We will also have special activities on this day.
10/7 - Last day work can be turned in for the quarter.
10/10 - Cookie Dough Fundraiser - We will be sending home the order forms and all of the information needed for the fundraiser.
10/12 - End of First Quarter
10/13 - 10/14 - No School!!
10/17 - 10/21 - Parent-Teacher Conference Week - I will be sending home a sign up sheet for these with the report cards.
