Important Dates and Class News
Third Quarter Report - The weather reports are due next Monday!!! If you have not already started on this, be sure to start as soon as possible. These will be worth the majority of the science grade for the quarter. It is very important that these are completed and turned in on time.
End of Quarter - The end of the third quarter is fast approaching!! If you are behind in homework or class-work you will need to start working now to get caught up. Report cards will be sent home on March 20th.
AIMS - The AIMS test is also fast approaching. We will be taking the next three to four weeks to prepare for the test. It is very important that the students are in attendance as much as possible over these next few weeks.
March 2nd - Dr. Seuss Birthday - The kids will be allowed to wear Dr. Seuss shirts and hats on Friday with their jeans.
March 5th - WEATHER REPORTS DUE!!!!
March 6th - Spring Pictures - Order forms for this will be sent home soon.
March 7th - Duds for Dollars
March 7th - Cookie Dough - If you are participating in the cookie dough fundraiser you will need to bring in the order forms this day. This will be the end of the sale.

2/14 - Arizona's 100th Birthday Celebration - The students have been asked to bring in treats that remind them of Arizona. We will also be passing out Valentines.
2/23 - 2/24 - Rodeo Break - No School!!
3/2 - Dr. Seuss' Birthday - Students will be allowed to wear a Dr. Seuss shirt and crazy socks.
3/5 - 3rd Quarter Projects Due - Be sure that the students are working on these right now. They should not be waiting for the last minute to complete this. This will be worth the majority of the Science grade for the third quarter.

Love-Of-Reading Week
Tuesday - P.J. Day - If the students earned this, they can dress in their pajamas and bring pillows for the read-in. They will also need to bring their favorite book.
Wednesday - Bookmarks and Dollar Duds - We are having a special Dollar Duds Day this week to raise money for the character charm program.
Thursday - Poem-In-A-Pocket
Friday - Dress as Your Favorite Character - The students can dress on this day as a character from a book. It needs to be appropriate for school and they will need to describe the book that the character comes from.
Valentines Grams - The Grams will be on sale throughout this week in the office and will be delivered on Valentines Day.
Arizona's 100th Birthday - We will be celebrating this on the 14th of February. The kids have been asked to bring a food that reminds them of Arizona. The party will begin at 1:00. They may also bring valentines for the class if they would like to.
Science Project - The weather project will be due on the 5th of March. Be sure that the students are in the process of working on these. Please do not wait for the last minute to complete this. It will be worth the majority of the science grade for the quarter.

I would like to include this work in their reports, so I will be sending these home on Tuesday.
