There will be no homework this week!!

Important Dates and Class News

Class Party - We will be having a party and a gift exchange on Friday.  If you would like to participate in the gift exchange you will need to bring a $5 wrapped gift that would be appropriate for either a girl or a boy.  Please feel free to donate treats for our party.

Dec. 17th - P.J. Day - We will be watching the Polar Express and the kids will be allowed to dress in their Pajamas for the day.

Dec. 19th - Report Card Day - Report cards will be sent home on Friday and we will be having our award assembly at 9:45.  I will be sending home notes with the students who will be receiving awards at the assembly.  This Friday will be a regular full day with after-school.

Important Dates and Class News

Weather Project - The projects were due today.  If your child has not turned it in please have them complete it and bring it to school as soon as possible!

End of Quarter - All work needs to be turned in by Friday the 12th.  If you have any questions regarding what work your child is missing send me an email or stop by at any time.  You can also take a look on family link.  Report cards will be sent home on Friday the 19th.

Class Party - We will be having a gift exchange on Friday the 19th along with our class party.  If your child would like to participate in this they will need to bring a wrapped gift (no more than $5) to school.  Be sure that this gift will be appropriate for either a girl or boy.  If you would also like to donate treats for the party, it would be greatly appreciated!

Important Dates and Class News

Weather Project - Please be sure your child is working in the weather research project.  This will be due December 8th and will take up the majority of the science grade for the quarter.  If you have any questions about this project, please let me know. 

Thanksgiving Feast - We will be having our school-wide Thanksgiving feast on Tuesday November 25th.  The fourth grade is in charge of bringing the gravy.  You can send either cans or jars of turkey gravy to school any time between now and the 25th.

Mid-Quarter Reports - The mid-quarter progress reports will be sent home this week.   These reports will include a list of all the assignments that still need to be turned in for this quarter.  Once these are signed and sent back to school they can be used as a check-off list for the students.  These reports will not include the grades.  If you would like to know what the grades are you can find them on the family link.  If you are not sure how to access this, please let me know.

11/17 - Candle Fundraiser Begins - The envelopes for this will be sent home today.

11/8 - Title One Literacy Night!  6 - 7:30 p.m. - You can purchase a pizza dinner for the family for $5.

Thanksgiving Feast - We will be having our feast on Tuesday the 25th before we leave for break.  The fourth grade has been assigned to bring gravy.  You can send either cans or bottles to school any time between now and the 25th.

Mid-Quarter Reports - The mid-quarter will end at the end of this week.  Reports will be sent home next week.  These reports will include all of the missing assignments so far for the quarter.  The students can use this report as a checklist of things they need to get done.

Food Drive - We are still having a food drive.  If you would like to donate canned goods for those in need you can send them to school with your child.

Harvest Fest - We will be holding our annual Harvest Fest this Friday, October 24th.  The booths will open up at 6:00 and we will start serving food at 5:30.  You can purchase tickets in the front office.  We are still in great need of candy.  If you would like to donate a bag you can send it to school any time between now and Friday.

Book Fair - The Scholastic Book fair will be open after school on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  It will also be open during the SPIN event on Wednesday night.

Great American Book Sale - This will be the last week for the fundraiser.  If you would not like to sell the book, please return it back to school.  This is a great opportunity to raise money for technology in the class-room.

LPA Ice Bucket Challenge - Mr. Ewald along with other members of the school staff will be participating in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge this Wednesday.  If the students would like to watch this they will need to bring $2 before Wednesday, or $5 on Wednesday.  All proceeds will be donated to the ALS fund.

SPIN Event - Wednesday, August 27th, 6-7:30
You will be able to shop at our book Fair, find a book at our scavenger hunt, and enjoy ice cream sundaes.  This event is free, but we ask that you fill out the registration form that was sent home.

Back to School Dance - Our Back to School Dance is Friday, August 29th.  The cost is $3 and that will include a drink and snack.  The fourth graders dance is from 5 to 6 p.m.
